YOUTH ACTIVITIES

The youth activities are sponsored by the Province of Limburg

The Limburgse Handbal Dagen are about to kick off again! This year the tournament will be held on Tuesday the 27th, Wednesday the 28th and Thursday the 29th of December. Apart from our teams from Limburg, there will be top teams from several countries to be seen.
Naturally, extra attention will be paid to the youth once again. On this page you can learn how to participate in the youth activities of the Limburgse Handbal Dagen 2011

 
Kidszone

Tuesday the 27th of December the sports hall in Sittard will be fully dedicated to the youth. For all youth present there will be several forms of entertainment such as the Kidszone and the Handball Rules Quiz. The Kidszone will be open from 10.30, prior to the start of the first match. The Handball Rules Quiz will be held during the half-time break of both matches. Moreover, all youth until the age of 12 has free entry to the matches and for the B youth there is a special entry arrangement for teams.

Clinic E and D youth

Immediately following the afternoon matches on Tuesday the 27th of December a handball clinic will be held for E and D youth (year of birth 2005 till 2002). This clinic is also an interesting demo training for all youth coaches, parents and assistant coaches present! The clinic starts at about 14.30 and will end at approximately 16.00 hours. Participation in the clinic is free of charge. However, the young players must be registered in advance, because of the limited amount of participants.

Shoot-out and handball workshops C youth

The preliminary round of the Shoot-out will be held in Sittard on Wednesday the 28th of December.
This preliminary round is part of several fun and educational handball workshops which the participants will go through in groups. The activity will take place from 9.00 until 11.00 hours, prior to the matches. Costs of participating in the activity are 5 Euros per child, both boys and girls in the C youth age (year of birth 2001 till 1999) are welcome. Afterwards, participants will have free access to the afternoon matches in Sittard! Don’t forget to register.

Shoot-out final

The best boys and girls from the preliminary round of the Shoot-out will go through to the final in sports hall Glanerbrook in Geleen. This Shoot-out final will take place on Thursday December the 29th prior to the big final of the tournament! This will be at approximately 18.30. The finalists are allowed to visit all the matches (including the final) on this last tournament day for free.

Registration

Registration for the clinic and preliminary round of the shoot-out can be done individually by sending an email to shoot-out@lhd.nl. Please clearly state for what activity you are registering in the subject line of your email (shoot-out or clinic).

When registering mention the first and last name, email address, date of birth and club of the participant.
Also state a phone number on which somebody can be reached during the activity. It is also possible for a coach or assistant coach to register an entire team, but in this case the individual information of all participants must be listed in your email. There is no maximum number of participants per club.

Please note that there is a limited number of places available, so the date of registration may be decisive. You will receive a confirmation email from the organization.
